Cricut is an electronic cutting machine that is used by crafters around the world to cut designs, images, graphics, or fonts. The Cricut cutting machine can cut a plethora of materials like vinyl, paper, card stock, and iron-on transfers. Some models of Cricut machines can even cut tough materials like wood, balsawood, and leather. Cricut is famous amongst craft enthusiasts for its precision which is hard to achieve from scissors and X-Acto knives.

This popular craft machine is famous for its speed and efficiency. The Cricut company also offers other machines and devices that can be used for pressing and firm adhesion. Cricut Design space is a free software application that can be used with the Cricut cutting machines. This web-based program can be used on many devices, including Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android. This is one of the best tools that can be used for designing as it offers many add-on features. The design space has a library of pre-made projects, designs, images, fonts, and graphics.

Currently, the design space houses more than 75,000 images, 800 predesigned projects, and 400 fonts. In your Cricut Design Space, you can also upload your own SVG and jpeg files to edit designs that you want to cut.  It also offers a subscription, which is popularly known as Cricut Access.

The Design Space app is compatible with Windows computers, Mac desktop systems, iOS devices, and Android devices, and here's how to install it on any of them.

For Windows/Mac

For Android/iOS

First, go to either Google Play Store or the App store to set up the Cricut design space on your iOS or Android device. Then, in the search bar, type “Cricut Design Space.” Simply download the application and sign in with your Cricut ID.

You can connect your Cricut machine with the design space application by following the steps given below.

1. Connect your Cricut machine to a power source.
2. Once connected, turn it on.
3. Then, using a USB cable, connect your Windows or Mac device to the Cricut machine.
4. Now, go to the official Cricut website.
5. When downloaded, double-click on it to install it.
6. Open the Design Space app and create a new user ID.
7. Now, you can start designing your crafts in the app and send commands to your Cricut machine for printing and cutting.

1. Make sure your Cricut Maker or Explore is turned on and is within a 10 to 15 feet gap from your computer. Make sure your Wireless Bluetooth Adapter is inserted if you have a Cricut Explore or Cricut Explore One.
2. The majority of PCs support Bluetooth. However, right-click the Start button and choose Device Manager to see if Bluetooth is enabled on your machine.
3. Your PC is Bluetooth-enabled if Bluetooth is mentioned. If not, you will need to buy a Bluetooth Dongle USB device so that your computer can communicate with other Bluetooth devices.
4. Close Device Manager.
5. Launch the Start menu, then choose Settings.
6. Select the Devices menu item.
7. Click Add Bluetooth or other device after making sure Bluetooth is turned on.
8. Wait for the computer to recognize your Cricut machine after selecting Bluetooth. Choose your device from the list.
9. If a PIN entry screen appears, enter 0000. Select Connect next.
10. Your Windows PC and your Cricut machine are now connected!
